MTECH Lite Retain BARC Regulars For Winter Series

1 Mins read

MTECH Lite will run two cars in the upcoming Protyre Formula Renault BARC Winter Series for series regulars Sean Walkinshaw and Joe Ghanem.

Both drivers competed for the team during the main 2012 BARC season, with Walkinshaw completing the full season, while Ghanem joining from the second meeting. Walkinshaw took a best result of eighth on his way to eighteenth in the championship, while Ghanem finished twenty-third overall with a best finish of twelfth to his name.

“Iʼm very pleased that weʼve signed Sean and Joe to race for us in the Winter Series,” said Les Jones, MTECH Lite Team Manager. “Both drivers have proved already in the main Championship that they can be quick, but too often their inexperience has shown and they havenʼt got the results I know theyʼre both capable of.

“For both drivers therefore, the Winter Series is a great opportunity to get some more experience under their belts and boost their confidence ahead of what Iʼm sure will be more rewarding campaigns next season. “
