Also illustrating that era will be the Impreza Burns took to victory in the 2000 Rally GB alongside a pair of Subaru Legacy from Burns’ pre-WRC career in the championship winning cars from both the 1992 Group N National and ’93 Group A British seasons. The 1993 Legacy, was despite his experience of WRC cars, Burns’ favourite rally car.

“We’re delighted to pay tribute to a very special figure in British and world motorsport,” said Autosport International show director Ian France. “Richard’s career saw him rise through the ranks of British rallying and reach the pinnacle of world rallying. Having so many significant cars from his illustrious career on display is a real honour and will be a fantastic addition for both rally and race fans alike.”

Burns ended his WRC career as a factory driver with Peugeot, and the French marque’s cars are another Burns drove both in an before he reached the top echelons of the sport. Correspondingly Peugeots bookend Burns career, the Peugeot 206 WRC at one end, the Group N-spec 205 GTI that won both the 1990 and 1991 Peugeot Challenge titles at the other. Both cars will form an important part of the tribute to Burns, who died in 2005 as a result of brain tumour.
