Three New Additions Boost Ford Grid For Croft

1 Mins read

The Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain will welcome three new drivers to its grid for the upcoming rounds at Croft this weekend.

Racing rookie Rob Shield and Protyre Formula Renault Championship racers Sam MacLeod and Wei Fung Thong will make their Formula Ford debuts with SWB Motorsport, Jamun Racing and Falcon Motorsport respectively.

Karting graduate Shield will make his car-racing debut at his local circuit in the SWB-Sinter, bringing the car back to the grid after it missed the last rounds at Oulton Park following budgetary problems for regular driver Fred Martin-Dye.

MacLeod and Thong meanwhile, Formula Renault team-mates at Fortec Motorsport, will gain vital experience of the circuit ahead of the Formula Renault meeting at the track on 6/7 July.

The additions to the field is welcome news for the championship, after only nine cars competed in the last rounds at Oulton Park.
