Chang Joins Falcon Ranks At Rockingham

1 Mins read

Chang Wing Chung is set to make his car-racing debut with Falcon Motorsport in the next rounds of the Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain at Rockingham.

Chung, known in karting circles as Andy Chang, currently competes in the European and World KF1 and KF2 Championships with the Tony Kart team, with an impressive karting pedigree including a Junior China National title in 2007.

‘Andy’, who also plans to contest the Silverstone rounds at the end of the month, will use the Formula Ford outings as preparation for a campaign in the Formula Masters China Series later this season. The Macanese racer plans to race single-seaters in Britain or Europe in 2014.

Andy’s racing mentor, Formula 3 team boss Peter Briggs, says Chung has shown promise in testing.

“On his first go in a Formula Ford he was getting close to the time being set by Harrison Scott,” said Briggs. “He’s had very little experience so far and we have some further tests planned ahead of Rockingham, so I think he will be okay.”
