Middlehurst Looking Forward To Renault 2.0 Test

1 Mins read

Protyre Formula Renault champion Chris Middlehurst will test Formula Renault 2.0 machinery this coming Monday (21 October) as part of his prize package for winning the British single-seater championship.

Middlehurst, who took six wins and thirteen podiums en-route to the Formula Renault title, will travel to Circuit de Catalunya in Spain to test a Eurocup-spec Formula Renault 2.0 for the first time.

The 18 year old will be joined by the top two from the Formula Renault 1.6 NEC and Formula Renault 1.6 Sweden categories, the top five drivers from French Formula 4, and two karters.

Having the opportunity to test a Eurocup specification car at a great track like Barcelona is fantastic, I’m really looking forward to the experience and can’t wait to get out there,” said Middlehurst. “I’ve got to say a big thank you to everyone at Renaultsport for the prize, hopefully we can have a really smooth test and fly the flag for Protyre Formula Renault.”

Middlehurst’s prize package also includes a test in one of the new fourth-generation Renault Clio Cup racers, the venue and date for which is still to be confirmed.
