Rosso Switches To Radical Alongside Abbott

Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain race-winner Juan Rosso has made a late switch of teams ahead of the 2014 campaign, leaving Jamun Racing to join James Abbott at Radical Motorsport.

It was announced by the series organisers in late January that Rosso had signed a deal to return to the category with Jamun, the team that guided him to three race wins and third in the championship last season.

At the time, Rosso was quoted as saying: I am really happy to come back with Jamun; they showed me last year they have a lot of experience and made me feel like part of their family. It was an excellent relationship, and that’s why I want to repay them with more victories and maybe the championship.”

Now, the Argentinian has been announced as part of an expanded two-car line-up for Radical, who will run a pair of Mygales for Rosso and Abbott, the latter sticking with the team that helped him to fifth overall in the championship in 2013.

“For me this is a great opportunity to come back to England to race again and to do so as part of the Radical Motorsport team, who are more like a family,” Rosso is quoted as saying.

“With James I feel we can share and compare a lot of information to become a really good team both on and off the track. Between us we can put this team in the position to deliver race wins.”

Radical Motorsport MD, Phil Abbott added: “The whole synergy and feel of this team is great. Juan and James will be pushing each other hard on track. Juan’s flair will challenge James in racing and James does not know what ‘give up’ means! They both love training hard so this will all work well together.”
