Citroen completed a lockout of the podium on their World Touring Car Championship debut in Marrakech with Jose Maria Lopez winning ahead of Sebastien Loeb and Yvan Muller.
Lopez kept the lead from pole position, with Muller getting the jump on Chevrolet driver Tom Chilton to move into third behind Loeb.
Although the three Citroens ran close to each other throughout the race, there were no overtaking attempts and they reduced their pace towards the end.
Chilton finished fourth ahead of fellow Chevrolet driver and series debutant Dusan Borkovic. The Serbian was passed by a charging Tiago Monteiro at one stage and then made contact with the Portuguese driver at the final hairpin.
Monteiro finished sixth ahead of local hero Mehdi Bennani and Campos Racing Chevrolet driver Hugo Valente, with Norbert Michelisz dropping a couple of places to ninth late on. Lada‘s James Thompson completed the top ten.
