Russian Bulatov takes Race 2 Victory in French F4 at Pau

Denis Bulatov took victory in race 2 of the French F4 Championship event around the streets of Pau. The Russian overtook Portuguese pole sitter Joao Carvalho on lap two to take the lead that he would never relinquish.

Finn Simo Laaksonen finished second, just under two seconds back, but it was the Russian’s day around the street circuit as Bulatov added his name to the winner’s role call of the Pau Grand Prix.

Valentin Moineault completed the podium in third after overtaking his fellow Frenchmen Erwan Jule and Amaury Richard as they battled on track. Unfortunately for pole man Carvalho, he continued dropped down the order; the Portuguese driver not accustomed to being amongst the front-runners and finishing outside the points.

Swiss driver David Droux finished sixth, holding off the battling Felix Hirsiger, Lasse Sorensen and Dorian Boccolacci who were the podium finishers in race one. The top ten was rounded out by Frenchman Valentin Hasse-Clot.
