Russian Denis Bulatov took the race two victory at Magny Cours as the French F4 Championship drivers gave the spectators an entertaining race. Frenchman Valentin Hasse-Clot and Australian Joseph Mawson completed the podium.
Erwan Jule, who started the race on pole position having finished tenth in the opening race of the weekend, finished fourth, having lost out to Bulatov for the lead on the opening lap despite making a good start. Frenchman Jule lost the place on the podium towards the end of the race to Mawson.
Behind them, Dorian Boccolacci saw his championship hopes take a blow as the Frenchman collided with Mexican Patricio O’Ward and Russian Vladimir Atoev that ultimately saw the Frenchman retire from the race, while another collision saw Gjergj Haxhiu and Amaury Richard both retire.
Swiss driver Paul Hokfelt Jr finished fifth ahead of race one winner Felix Hirsiger, while another Swiss driver David Droux claimed seventh.
Danish Championship leader Lasse Sorensen was eighth, ahead of Belgian Max Defourny, who is racing in the series for the first time in 2014, while another Frenchman, Valentin Moineault, completed the top ten.
