Anglo-Swiss driver Felix Hirsiger added the race three victory to his win in race one as he closed the Magny Cours weekend of the French F4 Championship in style.
Hirsiger made the perfect get-away from pole position and drove impeccably to hold off the challenge of Australian Joseph Mawson and Dane Lasse Sorensen until the chequered flag.
Mawson managed to pass Sorensen for second on lap two, but despite closing the gap to the leader, could not find a way past to take the win. Frenchman Valentin Hasse-Clot, fresh off the back of a podium finish in race two, held on as best he could to the leading trio to finish fourth.
Swiss duo Paul Hokfelt Jr and David Droux finished fifth and sixth ahead of race two winner Denis Bulatov, while Frenchman Valentin Moineault was eighth. Another Frenchman Erwan Jule was ninth, ahead of Belgian Max Defourny.
Championship contender Dorian Boccolacci had another disappointing race at Magny Cours, finishing twelfth after taking avoiding action around a crash between Frenchman Bryan Elpitiya and Russian Vladimir Atoev on lap two.
Hirsiger’s impressive display at Magny Cours moved him up to second place in the championship on 157 points, with only Sorensen ahead of him on 195 points, with three triple-race weekends to come at Nogaro, Jerez and Paul Ricard.
