After taking pole position for race 1, Anglo-Swiss driver Felix Hirsiger took victory in race one of the French F4 Championship races at the former F1 circuit of Magny Cours.
Hirsiger held off the challenge of current championship leader Lasse Sorensen for the win, while the runners-up spot enhances the Dane’s championship lead.
Frenchman Dorian Boccolacci completed the podium, but was more than six seconds behind the leading duo, and had Australian Joseph Mawson all over his gearbox at the chequered flag.
Mexican driver Patricio O’Ward was fifth ahead of Swiss driver David Droux, while Frenchman Valentin Hasse-Clot finished seventh ahead of Russian duo Vladimir Atoev and Denis Bulatov.
Another Frenchman Erwan Jule finished tenth, and will start the reverse grid race two from pole position.
