World Series by Renault to return to Silverstone in 2015

1 Mins read

Silverstone will form part of the World Series by Renault calendar for the first time since 2011, with the British track taking the place of Moscow Raceway, which drops off the calendar after three years.

The calendar also sees a switch between two French circuits, with the Bugatti Circuit of the historic Le Mans track replacing Paul Ricard.

The Monza round of the Formula Renault 3.5 Series has been dropped from the schedule, to be replaced by a visit to the Red Bull Ring in Austria that was missing from the 2014 calendar after being on the 2013 schedule. Austria will only see the Formula Renault 3.5 Series cars in action, with Monaco the only other round on the 2015 schedule to have this.

The Formula Renault 3.5 Series and the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 Series will compete at these venues during the 2014 campaign:

25th/26th April: Motorland Aragón, Spain
30th/31st May: Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium
13th/14th June: Hungaroring, Hungary
29th/30th August: Silverstone, England
12th/13th September: Nürburgring, Germany
26th/27th September: Bugatti Circuit Le Mans, France
17th/18th October: Circuito de Jerez, Spain

The Renault Sport Trophy will also race at those venues, apart from Aragon.

The Formula Renault 3.5 Series will race without its support events at these venues during 2014:

24th May: Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix
TBC: Red Bull Ring, Austria

The date for the Red Bull Ring is expected to be the weekend of 27th/28th June 2014.
