Albatec Racing Announces New Management Structure for 2015

2 Mins read

Albatec Racing has joined forces with Stephane Orre and Atte Varsta to set-up a re-structured Management ahead of its mammoth 2015 Rallycross campaign.

In 2014, the team competed in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, running two Peugeot 208 Supercars where they took Heat Race wins and regularly qualified for the Semi-Final stages over the 12-race calendar.

For 2015, Albatec Racing is again running Peugeot 208 Supercars with two entered for the MSA British Rallycross Championship, two entered for the FIA European Rallycross Championship and a WorldRX programme yet to be announced. Andy Scott has begun 2015 in style by winning the first round of BritishRX at Croft last weekend.

By partnering with Stephane Orre’s M-Technologies and recognised driver manager and branding expert Atte Varsta, Team Principle Andy Scott is happy that the path has been laid for more success to come in the future for Albatec Racing.

“Last year was a challenging year for us,” said Scott. “After the season finished we got back to the drawing board and took everything we’d learnt from the past and identified those areas that need to be improved. Therefore I’m delighted to have Stephane and Atte on-board to help strengthen our capabilities.

“While Stephane’s M-technologies is responsible on the technical side, Atte will take care of branding and the commercial side but also help me on a daily basis to run the team.”

Stephane Orre, owner of M-Technologies, is delighted about the partnership, adding: “I’m happy to work with Andy and Albatec Racing. Myself and M-Technologies have a long experience of building winning RX cars and working on different factory teams in rallycross and rally.”

Atte Varsta is a well-known driver manager and international branding expert and is excited to work with Albatec Racing.

“When this opportunity emerged I didn’t hesitate to accept it. It’s great to build something new and innovative for World RX. We live in economically challenging times but with passion, persistence and clear vision, I’m confident we can build an excellent future together,” said Atte, who will also retain his driver management duties at V&V Sport Management.

Albatec Racing has already confirmed that Andy Scott and Mark Flaherty will race in the British Rallycross Championship whilst Frenchman Jerome Grosset-Janin will pilot one of the teams two Peugeot 208 Supercars entered in EuroRX with a second driver to be announced shortly along with their WorldRX programme for 2015.
