24 Hours of Le Mans and European Le Mans Series outfit Race Performance have announced they will be participating in the inaugural ADAC Formula 4 Championship in 2015.
The Swiss outfit have signed two Swiss drivers to their team for this season, with female racer Marylin Niederhauser joining Alain Valente.
“I feel very confident about our talented new drivers,” says Race Performance’s Urs Meier. “Marylin and Alain are highly motivated and eager to show what they’re made of.
“We want to offer these young pilots a chance to develop and the very experienced team Race Performance with its qualified environment is ideal. The ADAC Formula 4 is perfect for our new programme.”
Niederhauser will be making her single seater debut in 2015 with the team, stepping up from karting, and is itching to get started after experiencing her first training session in a recent test.
“I can hardly wait and am really excited,” insisted Niederhauser. “The change from karting is challenging.
“Right from the beginning, you do have more respect, but it’s great fun and I’m eager to see what the new Series brings. I’ll do my very best.”
Team-mate Valente will be taking part in his second season of single seater racing, and the Bern-born driver is eager to win races and the championship in 2015.
“My aims with Race Performance are quite clear,” declared Valente. “Together, we want to walk off with racing victories and help fight for the championship.
“The newly organized ADAC Formula 4 certainly provides a fantastic basis. I’m really looking forward to my role and I’d like to say a very big thank you to my new team for their trust in me and this chance to prove myself.”
