1 Mins read

It has been revealed today (10th November) that the charity auction in honour of the late Justin Wilson has raised over $600,000 for the Wilson Children’s Fund.

Since the auction’s launch in September, over 500 pieces were sold including unique memorabilia from across IndyCar, Formula 1, Global Rallycross, V8 Supercars, Formula E and the World Endurance Championship.

As revealed on racer.com, $546,967.49 was raised through the eBay auction, with an additional $74,000 raised from private auctions of race helmets from Graham Rahal and Ryan Hunter-Reay, plus $16,100 through a private auction from F1 reporter Will Buxton.

The auction was organised by Rahal in partnership with eBay, Auction Cause and eBay CEO Devin Wenig to raise funds for the Wilson Children’s Fund, which was created to support Wilson’s family following his untimely death in August.
