Bourdais to continue with KVSH in 2016

1 Mins read

Frenchman Sebastien Bourdais will continue to race in the Verizon IndyCar Series with KVSH Racing in 2016 in the #11 Hydroxycut KVSH Racing entry.

The four-time Champ Car champion looks set to be the sole KV Racing Technology representative in 2016, which will be his third with the team, having raced alongside Sebastian Saavedra in 2014 and Stefano Coletti last season.

“I want to thank Kevin Kalkhoven, Jimmy Vasser and Sulli [team co-owner James Sullivan] for the opportunity to continue competing for KVSH Racing,” said Bourdais, who has won three races for the team in the past two seasons.

“I also want to thank Hydroxycut for their continued support. In the last two years we’ve captured poles, won races, and the HYDROXYCUT machine has certainly become a fan favorite.

“We just need to keep working hard if we are going to compete consistently at the highest level and contend for a championship.”

KV Racing Technology Co-owners Kevin Kalkhoven and Jimmy Vasser have welcomed the news of Bourdais’ return to the team for another season.

“I am extremely pleased to confirm that Sebastien Bourdais will return to drive for KVSH Racing in 2016,” said Kalkhoven. “Sebastien is a proven champion and has shown over the last two years that he capable of competing and beating the best in the IndyCar series.

“We look forward to continuing to progress as a team and working to produce more championships.”

“I am very pleased and proud to say that we have Sebastien Bourdais back the KVSH Racing car,” said Vasser. “I have raced against him and worked as his strategist the last two years.

“I can say without a doubt that he is an exceptional driver and a true champion. We look forward to winning a lot more races and challenging the championship in 2016.”
