Vital championship points and possible WRC2 drives are on offer as the Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy heads at the halfway stage of the season at Rally Finland.
Rally Finland promises loads of jumps, thrills and spills as the DMACK competitors from Europe and Africa will be challenged by the fast, forest roads of Finland.
Welshman Osian Pryce currently leads the Trophy standings on 53 points after winning the opening race in Portugal. A second place in Poland cemented his place for a WRC drive this weekend, competing in five rounds of the main event with co-driver Dale Furniss.
Northern Ireland’s Jon Armstrong is six points behind the leader Pryce in second after taking his maiden win in Rally Poland last time out. While Max Vatanen is third, 18 points being Armstrong and looking to gain ground on second place this weekend in Finland.
M-Sport Managing Director Malcolm Wilson said about this weekend’s Rally Finland “For the first time this year, the crews will be able to concentrate solely on speed, and what better place to do that than at Rally Finland. So far they’ve had to balance their speed with the need for learning, but now they have an opportunity to enjoy some of the world’s fastest stages at full throttle. We could see some real potential come to the fore next week, and I’m sure they are all looking forward to what is a highlight of the season.”
