Holowczyc returns for one-off race with MINI at 2016 Baja Poland

1 Mins read

Poland’s Krzysztof Holowczyc returns at the 2016 Baja Poland as MINI All4 Racing field a four-crew line-up for the seventh round of the 2016 FIA Cross-Country Rally World Cup season.

Holowczyc, a five-time winner of this event, has retired from competitive rallying in 2015. However, the Pole is making a one-off return to rallying where he captured the hearts of his fellow countrymen and women. Holowczyc will be driving alongside co-driver Lukasz Kurzeja at Baja Poland this weekend for MINI All4 Racing.

Krzysztof said “Baja Poland holds a special place in my heart. To achieve five wins means a lot to me. Hopefully, I will be able to achieve another win but this is not a given because the competition is great. But I have the best car in the shape of a MINI ALL4 Racing and the best back up with X-raid, so I will give it my best.”

Joining Holowczyc are fellow countryman Jakub Przygonski/Tom Colsoul, Chile’s Boris Garafulic/Filipe Palmeiro and the Netherlands’ Eric van Loon/Wouter Rosegaar, who make up the other three crews joining the Pole at Baja Poland for MINI All4 Racing.

The start of the four-day, 788 kilometre 2016 Baja Poland takes place on Thursday 25 August 2016 – Sunday 28 August 2016.
