Pirelli brings new Cinturato RW wet tyres to Rallye Deutschland

1 Mins read

Pirelli will be bringing their new ‘Cinturato RW’ wet weather tyres to Rallye Deutschland 2016.

The Cinturato RW wet tyres will also be offered with the dry weather P Zero RK tyres for the unpredictable weather conditions that Rallye Deutschland offers.

Leading the charge for Pirelli in Germany will be by two home drivers Armin Kremer and Fabian Kreim, both driving Škoda Fabia R5’s in WRC2 with Max Rendina joining the German pair.

Whilst in WRC3, Italians Fabio Andolfi and Damiano De Tommaso continue their campaigns in the championship, driving Peugeot 208R2’s with Pirelli rubber on-board.

Pirelli Rally Activity Manager Terenzio Testoni said “After several months focussed on gravel, Rallye Deutschland is the first of four consecutive asphalt events in a short space of time, including the debut of Rally China next month. But making its debut for now is our new Cinturato RW tyre, which has been designed to make a difference in full wet conditions.

“With its variety of different stages and surface types, Germany also offers a thorough test of our RK asphalt tyres. The changeable weather is of course a key challenge, and our tyres must perform well in both dry and wet conditions.”
