VIDEO: Hyundai customer teams get i20 R5 testing underway on French asphalt

1 Mins read

Hyundai Motorsport’s customer teams have started testing with the i20 R5, which will be making its début in the WRC2 category at the 2016 Tour de Corse – Rallye de France.

Stéphane Sarrazin, who is no stranger to the World Rally Championship, will be making his WRC2 début this weekend with Hyundai.

The Frenchman won in Corsica when it was a non-WRC event in 2014 in the FIA European Rally Championship.

Sarrazin, who has been testing in France on the asphalt pre-Tour de Corse, was also joined by WRC3 star Fabio Andolfi, who won on his home rally in Sardinia in June in the Peugeot 208 VTi.

The 23-year-old Italian will also join Frenchman Sarrazin in making his WRC2 début at the Tour de Corse this weekend in the i20 R5.

Andolfi currently lies fourth in the WRC3 Championship Standings, 27 points behind the Championship Leader Simone Tempestini.
