Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 race winner Sacha Fenestraz will remain in the series for a second season after agreeing a switch to Josef Kaufmann Racing, where French F4 champion Yifei Ye will join him.

Fenestraz was victorious in Eurocup’s first ever race around the streets of Monaco in May for Tech 1 Racing, and followed that up by closing the season out with a win at Estoril, while he also took a victory in the Northern European Cup at Hockenheim.

The seventeen-year-old Franco-Argentine driver finished fifth in the final standings in both championships, and tested with Josef Kaufmann Racing in the post-season tests at Estoril, in which he took the fastest time.

Ye was the dominant driver in French F4 in 2016, taking the title in comfortable fashion, winning fourteen of the first seventeen races of the year and finishing 142 points ahead of his nearest challenger.

The sixteen-year-old Chinese driver tested at Estoril with R-ace GP but has since tested with Josef Kaufmann Racing and decided to make the switch to the team that took Lando Norris to both titles in 2016.
