ADAC Formula 4 racer Sophia Floersch has been fined 20’000 for sharing a video from Free Practice. The clip shows her taking avoiding action as an SUV crossed the track to recover another car in the gravel.

Floersch, who races for BWT Mucke Motorsport, was running at full speed when red flags were called as one of her competitors was stuck in the gravel half way round the Oschersleben circuit. Moments later, an SUV emerged from the barrier, driving across the track and forcing her to take to the grass.

Neither made contact and the car was not damaged, though she was forced to slow to an almost stop while on the grass.

For sharing the video without the permission of the regulatory body, ADAC have handed her a large fine, as confirmed on her social media. The organisers are still discussing the red flag incident and whether any action should be taken on that.

The rest of the ADAC F4 weekend has so far been plagued by delays after a power outage in the morning prevented any running and delayed qualifying. Floersch comes into this weekend seventeenth in the standings, with five points to her name.
