Former world number two Krzysztof Kasprzak has been confirmed as a wildcard for the MIB Nordic Gorzow FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Poland on August 26.
He will line up wearing the number sixteen jacket alongside Bartosz Zmarzlik, Patryk Dudek, Maciej Janowski and Piotr Pawlicki, who all raced in the World Championship.
Kasprzak joined Poland’s SGP team to lift the Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup in Manchester last summer, making that his fifth gold in the competition. In 2005, he won the FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship, and finished second in the 2014 FIM Speedway Grand Prix, dominating the rounds at Bydgoszcz, Daugavpils and Torun.
Last year, he raced in the MIB Nordic Gorzow SGP of Poland and scored seven points, but unfortunately fell short of the semi-finals.
This year’s Gorzow field will be completed by track reserves Kacper Woryna and Oskar Polis who line up wearing the number seventeen and eighteen jackets. The referee will be Krister Gardell from Sweden.
