Felix Rosenqvist’s second year in INDYCAR hasn’t gone quite according to plan so far. Two poor finishes in the Genesys 300 and the GMR Grand Prix see him currently sitting twentieth in the points standings, while his Chip Ganassi Racing teammates Scott Dixon and Marcus Ericsson sit in first and tenth respectively.

Now, Rosenqvist heads to the REV Group Grand Prix Presented by AMR Doubleheader at Road America, looking to turn his luck around.

The 28 year old Swede talked exclusively to The Checkered Flag about how excited he is to get to the track. “Honestly it couldn’t have been a better scenario,” Rosenqvist said.

“I had two poor weekends so far, with things to take away that were positive but we just didn’t have the results, so coming to Road America which is one of my favorite tracks, having two races as well, it’s just a perfect scenario.

“It’s a great track, everyone loves it, we have a chance to really make a difference here in the championship having started off really poorly, so I couldn’t be more psyched.”

Last year at Road America, Rosenqvist fought his way back from a poor qualifying that saw him start 18th to finish sixth in an impressive drive.

The 28 year old Swede will be hoping to repeat that kind of a result, and has the opportunity to do so with races on both Saturday and Sunday.
