Reece Ushijima led the field in Spa-Francorchamps free practice, as the F3 season ending triple header got underway.

The Van Amersfoort Racing driver set an outstanding time of 2:05.172 towards the end of the session, over a second ahead of Oliver Goethe in second place.

The session began with William Alatolo heading to the top of the times, however his time of 2:09.590 quickly saw him tumble back down the timing sheet as many other drivers began to set faster laps.

Later on, Juan Manuel Correa went fastest setting a 2:06.940, but he was quickly leapfrogged by Prema teammates Arthur Leclerc and Oliver Bearman, which saw the brit move top of the times in his first outing in Spa.

With 20 minutes remaining in the session, championship leader Isack Hadjar went second fastest with a time of 2:06.862, meanwhile his rival for the title Victor Martins was down in eleventh.

Campos’ David Vidales locked up with 15 minutes remaining in the session during his first flying lap, forcing him to abandon the lap leaving him twenty-ninth in the timings only ahead of Charouz driver László Tóth.

With just under 10 minutes remaining the session, yellow flags were brought out as Czech driver Roman Stanek slowed on the Kemmel straight, however he was able to get the car up and running again and the session was green flagged.

As the clock ticked under five minutes, Red Bull junior Hadjar went fastest with a time of 2:06.639. However, the Frenchman finished the session in seventh, thirteen places above fellow championship leader Victor Martins.

Oliver Goethe took second in only his second ever F3 practise, ahead of Campos teammates David Vidales and Josep María Martí in third and fourth, as Zak O’Sullivan rounded out the top five.
