The 2021 Junior WRC champion Sami Pajari from Finland has confirmed he will be running a full-time WRC2 program next season in a Skoda Fabia Rally2 evo prepared by the Turkish outfit Toksport WRT.

The young flying Finn won the 2021 Junior WRC title and he returned to defend it this season but at the same time, he made some additional outings in the WRC2. He wasn´t able to defend the title in the JWRC class as he finished third in the standings but showed some great improvements in the WRC2 premier support class with a stage win on the home soil of Rally Finland which boosted his confidence to continue with WRC2 for 2023.

Pajari together with co-driver Enni Mälkönen will be in the main Toksport WRT team for Rally Japan as that will become their first long-haul rally, where they will be supporting fellow Finnish teammate Emil Lindholm who is a contender for the 2022 WRC2 crown.

“What lies ahead next season sounds like a dream come true, I’m of course thrilled and looking forward to making the most out of such an opportunity. There could not be a better partner for us for the future than such a wonderful and thoroughly professional team like Toksport, but there is still much work to be done this season before I can switch focus to next year,” Pajari said.
