1 Mins read

Spaniard Sergio Canamasas will compete in the opening round of the 2015 GP2 Series season in Bahrain with MP Motorsport.

Canamasas tested for MP and Hilmer Motorsport (who will miss the opening round) during pre-season and fills the final seat available on the grid alongside Daniel De Jong at the Dutch team.

26 year-old Canamasas has been in GP2 for three years, picking up only one podium in the Monaco sprint race in 2014 with Trident. He also finished a career high 14th in the drivers standings in 2014.
