Father-Son Geddie Duo Set For British GT Return

1 Mins read

Reigning Avon Tyres British GT Champions Jim and Glynn Geddie are set to make a return to the series for the first time in 2012 with their Apex Motorsport McLaren MP4-12c GT3 at next week’s Silverstone round.

With a grid of around thirty cars expected for the three hour endurance race the father-son duo join a very competitive field.

“I’m really looking forward to driving the McLaren in British GT,” said Glynn Geddie earlier this week on BritishGT.com “I got a chance to drive it at Brands Hatch and won, but the competitive nature of British GT will be a different challenge and I’m going to enjoy going up against David, Matt Griffin, Allan Simonsen and some of the new faces.”

Glynn has been competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB once again this season but hasn’t enjoyed the success of 2011.

“It’s been a tough year in Carrera Cup. Ongoing problems with the car haven’t given me the results I wanted, but having seen how well the McLaren went at Snetterton (when United Autosports won the first race), we should be able to challenge for the win from the front.”

The team are expected to see the season out by racing in the Donington Park finale on 29th September.
