In 2013, new partnerships and tie-ins are formed, as it was announced today that EURONICS Deutschland eG have entered into a sponsorship deal with the Stuttgart carmaker for 2013, as the EURONICS Mercedes AMG C-Coupe will take its place on the grid for the first race at Hockenheim on May 5th.

This future between the two entities, will help give the consumer electronics retailer high visibility to the international and domestic locations that DTM visits, where it will have a high-profile showcase, as a brand endorsing the most internationally recognized touring car series in the world.

The cooperative, which is based in Ditzingen, just near Stuttgart itself, has in the region of 1700 members in Germany, with locations in over 1,900 areas, and with a healthy workforce in excess of 12,000, the company seems to flourish since its inception in 2004, as well as its roots being traced further back, to an international standpoint.

With EURONICS’ slogan: “Only the very best gets a star,” Mercedes-Benz Motorsport’s Wolfgang Schattling welcomed on board the largest retail group of its kind to the DTM environment, with the retailer also interested in motorsport, and using the platform to gain further exposure: “We are all the more pleased because the involvement of EURONICS with the AMG Mercedes C-Coupé will play a major role in the group’s own marketing communications – in print, online and on TV.”

This looks to be a partnership that will start in earnest for 2013, and flourish for years to come, as the ‘stars’ unite to help each other out via the DTM. A match made in heaven? It seems so…
