1 Mins read

Monza 2008 sprint race winners Durango have been forced to withdraw for this years race after Stefano Coletti had repercussions of his accident at Spa two weeks ago.

Coletti crashed heavily at Eau Rouge in the last round of the GP2 series which resulted in the car being a total write-off.

Following this, the team took the decision to enter the Monza round with just one car driven by Coletti, and went on to test him in a F3000 car, which delivered positive results.

During technical scrutineering yesterday Coletti suffered some pain that forced him to withdraw and unfortunately for the team left them with no time to make a substitution and forcing them to withdraw from the event.

The team will now focus all efforts on the next event in Portimao.
