ITV Sport has confirmed their coverage for the 2010 Elf Renault Clio Cup and the 2010 Formula Renault UK Championship.
For the upcoming season, both Championships will get extended, prime time television coverage, and the Clio Cup will feature on board coverage for the first time in the history of the Championship.
As well as the live coverage on ITV4, as part of the British Touring Car Championship coverage, the races will also be shown live online at itv.com – and both series, part of the highly popular BTCC support package – will be shown again on Motorsport UK.
Motorsport UK will return on the 27th April, with a 34 week schedule on ITV4, with 2 repeats a week on ITV4 as well as on ITV1, the stations flagship channel. There will also be a showing on the popular men and Motors channel.
Across the 3 channels with be 4 broadcasts of the one hour show, meaning that there will be 136 hours of broadcasts, and fans will also be able to watch the show again for up to 4 weeks via the ITV catch up service, itv.com/catchup.
As well as the extensive highlights package, both the Formula Renault UK Championship and the Elf Renault Clio Cup will feature on the live coverage of the BTCC, either as live races or show-as live races, subject to the TV broadcast times and race weekend programmes.
The 2009 showing of Motorsport UK saw 3 million viewers when the Renault Clio Cup was shown, won by Phil Glew and 4.75 million for the Formula Renault UK Championship, won by Dean Smith.
