Bautista Undergoes Surgery In Qatar

Rizla Suzuki's Álvaro Bautista is now recovering in the Hamad Medical Corporation Hospital in Doha, after a successful operation to repair his broken left femur.

The Spainard spent the night in hospital before undergoing surgery to re-align the bone, and to pin it into place.

Bautista suffered the injury in a highspeed highside in yesterday’s final practice session for the season opener in Qatar.

He will be returning to Spain as soon as his condition is stable enough to allow him to travel to Madrid and he will be seen by renowned surgeon Dr. Angel Villamor to begin his recuperation.

As always, we’ll be keeping an eye out for more news from Suzuki, and we’ll keep you updated.
