Elias Gains Points In Jerez

1 Mins read

LCR Honda‘s Toni Elias rounded of another difficult weekend in Spain, with a 9th place finish in Jerez. Elias started from 17th on the grid after a poor qualifying, but the Moto 2 champion was one of the riders to keep his head, as others around him ended up in the gravel due to tricky conditions in the rain.

Afterwards, Elias wasn’t as happy as you would think he’d be.

Honestly I am not happy about the performance as my feeling on the bike was still bad but the 9th position in these conditions is a positive result for me and the Team.”

He continued, “I know I have been lucky because many riders crashed out and I was capable to end the race although the tyres situation was very difficult for everybody because we just had the warm up session on the wet. However we must continue our good job to improve our future performances….I am aware of this and want to thank my Team for their efforts”.
