Carrera Cup Asia Heads To Zhuhai For Round 2

1 Mins read

The second round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia takes place at the Zhuhai International Circuit in China this weekend, as part of the China Touring Car Championship weekend.

Debutant Alexandre Imperatori scored a sensational double victory at the opening round at Shanghai in support of the Chinese Grand Prix, and the Team StarChase driver heads to Zhuhai hoping to extend his six point advantage in the drivers' standings.

Second is Rodolfo Avila of Team Jebsen, with Brian Wong third in the standings after a maiden podium in Shanghai. Wang Jian Wei is fourth overall and on top of the Class B category for non-professional drivers.

The LKM Racing duo of Darryl O'Young and Keita Sawa will hope for better results in Zhuhai after an unlucky time in Shanghai. Italian Davide Rizzo joins the series in Zhuhai, while Philip Ma makes his return after missing the opening weekend. Mok Weng Sun is unable to make Zhuhai, so is replaced at OpenRoad Racing by Canadian Christian Chia.
