Tiff Needell will be making a guest appearance at Brands Hatch this weekend in the Ginetta Challenge, competing in a G40 run by HHC Motorsport.
The television presenter has raced with Ginetta before in the G20 Cup in 2004/5 at Thruxton. He had an eventful weekend, with Simon Marrian, one of Ginetta's longest serving employees, remembering Tiff screaming “I've lost 3rd gear!” as he passed the pit lane in one race, with the team shouting back “It's okay, you have another 4!”
Needell will be running in HHC's orange celebrity car and will be team-mates with old friend Rick Parfitt Jnr, son of Status Quo member Rick Parfitt. Tiff will be making a video diary of the weekend's racing for his website www.tiff.tv.
Needell said: “Brilliant, this weekend is going to be one to remember for sure! The G20s were great fun so I am looking forward to trying my hand with the new more powerful G40s”.
