Ginetta Challenge Heads To Brands

1 Mins read

The Ginetta Challenge is making its second trip to Brands Hatch for its next two rounds of the 2011 season, with the G40's and G20's tackling the Indy layout this time round.

After six races, its Sean Huyton who leads the way in his Academy Motorsport G40, twenty points ahead of Colard Motorsport's Clive Richards. Huyton has three wins to Richards one, the latter taking his only win last time they were at Brands.

Double winner Mark Davies is third in the points, the former series champion 10 points further adrift for Optimum Motorsport. He will be hoping to impress, as will Total Control Racing's Mike Robinson. The former Clio Cup racer had won on the road at Brands, but got penalised for not respecting the track limits, giving Richards the win.

In the G20 class, Optimum's Gary Simms won the opening three races, but he only sits second in the points, with privateer Stuart Pearson topping the leaderboard with two wins to his name. Third in the standings is Matt Flowers, while the other racewinner was Dominic Pettit, who took his win around the Brands Grand Prix circuit.
