Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Brazil Heads To Curitiba

1 Mins read

The Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Brazil returns this weekend as the series heads to Curitiba with championship leader Ricardo Rosset absent from the track after breaking his collarbone while riding his bike in the lanes of the southern Sao Paulo area. “I’m very upset, it had rained and the painted floor was very slippery,” said Rosset.

Constantine Junior will be looking to cash in on his rivals absence and take the lead in the championship with 22 points up for grabs if he can win the race. Clemente Lunardi and Ricardo Baptista are both candidates for victory this weekend.

Cristiano Piquet and Zeca Feffer both make their Cup debut with Piquet looking to repeat the form that saw him take a win at the Velopark in May in the Challenge class.

Fernando Barco looks to extend his narrow lead in the Challenge class with Sylvio de Barros only 1 point behind. Bill Alfonso, Carlos Ambrosio, Sergio Maggi, Gilberto Farah, Eduardo Azevedo and Edu Guedes will resume their fierce battle for third place.

Omar Camargo Neto will be making his debut alongside Olympic Gold medalist Rodrigo Pessoa.
