Kieren Clark With The TCS Ginetta G40

2009 Formula Renault BARC Champion Kieren Clark is set to join the Ginetta Challenge grid for the series' final rounds at Silverstone, run by Cheshire based Track Cars Service.

Clark, a British Racing Drivers Club 'Rising Star', will be competing in one of their Ginetta G40's, thanks to support from Silverstone based Formula One hospitality group Aspire. Cambridge-based Clark will use the event as a precursor to a full season in the 2012 British GT Championship.

Clark commented: “It's a good opportunity for me get out on track with the Ginettas, the drivers are all fighting for championship places, so it will be a challenge. This year I have been focusing on driver coaching, both sports cars and single seaters, so I will get a good chance to put my teaching into practice. I would like to thank the Aspire group for helping me get to the position of taking part in this race.

“Next season I am focusing on being part of the high profile British GT series. I am talking with teams, and with some very tasty cars on the grid from Ferraris, Audi R8's to Aston Martins, it's really exciting. I am still looking to bring on board a few more partners, who will have the chance to use the GT races as part of their marketing and advertising. With the media interest and TV coverage, the potential is enormous.”

Kieren has been working with the TCS team all season, who commented: “We are really happy Kieren agreed to race in the last round at Silverstone with us. He’s been helping our drivers develop with the Ginetta. We have no doubt Kieren will do a good job for us. He’s very committed to helping us get to the top”
