ESPN have announced Gemma Scott will present their coverage of World Series by Renault for the 2012 season.

Scott will also present the final round of the World Aeries by Renault season in Catalunya this weekend.

She began her career hosting shopping channel iBuy and her motorsport background contains presenting Formula 2, GT Cup and T-Car Championship.

Moreover, she has covered World Series by Renault previously on Motors TV and Setanta Sports.

Scott said:  “I am absolutely delighted to be working with ESPN and the KPC Media team on their fantastic coverage of The World Series by Renault, which has to be the most exciting and most followed single seater championship outside F1, and Indy Car.

“There are current Formula 1 drivers still racing with the World Series and rumours of a step up to F1 for at least 2 more in 2012. This is where Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso graduated from, to name just a few – it's the place to be!”

ESPN will be providing live race coverage as well as both qualifying sessions and the pre-race build up.

Nick Kennerley, Executive Producer of World Series by Renault, added: “We are delighted to welcome Gemma as our host for this new era on ESPN. Gemma was always the obvious choice for this role; she has an unrivalled knowledge and passion for this important feeder series in Formula 1. To be honest, there isn't a presenter on television who can do a grid walk with so much confidence.”
