Motorcycle Road Racing star Guy Martin will make his debut on four wheels this weekend when makes a guest appearance in the final rounds of the Caterham R300 Championship at Silverstone.

The Lincolnshire man has shown his class on two wheels this year with his sixth victory at the Ulster Grand Prix as well as multiple podiums at the Southern 100 and Isle of Man TT but this weekend will provide a very different challenge.

“I'm really looking forward to it”, he said. “Racing a Caterham Seven must be the closest thing to racing a bike that there is on four wheels and, from what I've seen of the races I've watched in the past, they're every bit as frenetic as us bikers, so I should fit in just fine.”

Martin was actually supposed to make his debut in the championship last year only to be sidelined with an injury but with the support of employment and health & safety business support company ELAS, the 29 year old will finally get the chance on Saturday.

The star of 'The Boat that Guy Built' will take his place on the grid of 300BHP-per-tonne Caterham Superlight R300s for two 30 minute races on Saturday, scheduled for 11:30am and 3:15pm.
