Jolyon Palmer will race for the Barwa Addax Team at the non-championship GP2 Final in Abu Dhabi next weekend.

The 20-year-old British driver competed for Arden in his rookie season of GP2 this year, but didn't manage to score any points.

He tested for Addax, the reigning teams' champions, at Jerez and Barcelona last month, and will now race for the team at Yas Marina next weekend in support of the Formula 1 Grand Prix.

“I am very happy to be driving for Addax in Abu Dhabi,” said Palmer. “I feel comfortable with the team, having recently completed two days of testing for them. With a year of GP2 experience now and having raced at Abu Dhabi at the start of the year, I am confident I will be able to run towards the front.”

Chris Murphy, Addax Technical Director, added: “Jolyon has made good progress with us during his two days of testing at Jerez and Barcelona, and following recent preparation on the Addax driving simulator he is ready to impress at a GP2 track at which he already has experience in his first GP2 season.”
