A confirmed date for the series' flagship 24 hours event at Silverstone has completed the 2012 Britcar calendar.

Unlike in 2011 the  GT cars of the MSA British Endurance Championship (BEC) will compete in stand alone race, those teams previously in the production classes will run in the Britcar Production Cup Championship. The latter series will consist of 90 minute races, supporting all but one of the BEC events, only missing the July 14-15 meeting at Brands Hatch, where the BEC will support the FIA Formula Two Championship on the Kent track's Grand Prix circuit.

The season begins at Silverstone on March 24 in the first of five Saturday only meetings that form the first half of the season, taking competitors to five different tracks, including a three hour race at Oulton Park on June 23.

The Britcar 24 Hours will be held on September 21-23, before the series returns to Donington Park for the final championship race of the season – a four hour night race.

The calendar is rounded off by the third and final race of the year at Brands Hatch on November 24. The BEC will run as a non-championship race, handing over the prime 'into the night' slot to the final 90 minute race of the Production Cup Championship.
