Experienced racer Richard Sykes will make his first appearances in historic racing this year after his purchase of a 1965 Ford Mustang.

After running with the team in last season's Ginetta Challenge HHC Motorsport will run the ex-Nigel Vaulkhard car for Sykes in the Master Pre-66 Touring Cars series, starting at Oulton Park on March 17. HHC Motorsport principal Charlie Kemp will join Sykes as co-driver.

“I'm really looking forward to it,” said Sykes. “It is something very different for me but I think we will be competitive this season. The car is good and HHC will run it well so we are aiming for wins.”

“Richard has improved greatly in the last few seasons,” added Kemp, “racing in Ginettas and also in Porsche Boxsters. It is a new departure for him but he should be up to speed very quickly.”
