Five of the fastest men from the Mobil 1 Porsche Supercup are making the trip to Daytona International Speedway this weekend for the Rolex 24.
Porsche have given 2011 champion Rene Rast and 'rookie of the year' Kevin Estre the opportunity to compete in the GT class of the 50th edition of the legendary American endurance race. Frenchman Estre – who won his first Supercup race at Monza – will join TRG as part of the no.68 team, while Rast will join Porsche works driver Richard Lietz as part of Magnus Racing for the weekend.
“For me, Daytona is a real highlight to kick off the new season,” said Rast. “It's not every day a race driver gets the chance to contest such a prestigious 24 hour race with Porsche backup. This is really something very special.”
British Supercup drivers Nick Tandy and Sean Edwards – usually rivals – will join forces for NGT Motorsport's MOMO backed Porsche. Jeroen Bleekemolen will also feature in TRG's five car line up – part of five man team in the no.67 car that also includes Wolf Henzler and American Porsche stalwart Spencer Pumpelly.
As well as Lietz and Henzler five other Porsche works drivers will contest this weekend's race, spread across four different teams.

In total 24 Porsche GT3 will contest the GT class of the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
