Esteban Gutierrez finished GP2 Series pre-season testing on top after posting the fastest time for a second day in succession.

The Mexican moved ahead of the morning session with an hour left to run before the lunch break. He finished the session a tenth and a half clear of nearest challenger and likely title rival Davide Valsecchi.

Tom Dillmann, who is yet to secure a seat for the coming season, made a point with the third fastest time for Rapax, edging out third year driver Max Chilton by just one thousandth of a second. Giedo van der Garde was close behind, with James Calado in sixth. Fabrizio Crestani was seventh for newcomers Lazarus, ahead of Nigel Melker, Fabio Onidi and Stephane Richelmi.

Dillmann further pushed his credentials for a race seat by hitting the top of the timesheets early on in the afternoon session, and remaining unbeaten until the end of the day.

Stefano Coletti was the only other man to go below the 1m30 mark during the afternoon, himself finishing nearly four tenths clear of Crestani. Rookies Felipe Nasr and Jon Lancaster were next up, ahead of Marcus Ericsson and Valsecchi. Onidi, Jolyon Palmer and Ricardo Teixeira completed the top ten.
