Hey everyone…

Well, I've had my first Formula Renault BARC race weekend at Snetterton and I really enjoyed it. I got to experience standing starts in the wet and dry for the first time ever! I got really comfortable with the car and even though the last of the three races was wet, I had a great race and could really get the feel of the car.

Now the first weekend is out of the way, I am really focusing on moving forward and getting the best result I can for the next two races at Rockingham. I've been training hard and preparing myself for the year ahead.

I tested at Rockingham the other week and, as it was my first time there, I felt I made quite a lot of improvement and learnt the track well. I'm still getting used to the aero as it's the biggest difference from karting to these single-seaters but I'm getting there with the help from Fortec Motorsports and Riki Christodoulou.

I am really looking forward to my next race as the gaps between races feel so long and I'm just itching to get back out there and try again, improve myself that bit more. In the meantime I'm working with Caterham Motorsport on their Karting project and I am really getting stuck into it now, finding lots of interest and making sure the plans for the 2013 karting series are all in place.

As well as that, I'm also helping Caterham Motorsport at their race weekends. We were recently at Oulton Park with their championship and, despite the cold weather, I really enjoyed it – I even got a lap in the Safety Car to see the track…bonus!

It all really gives me ideas on how to make sure the karting series is run as friendly and enjoyable as the Caterham car series.

Keep watching this space :P
