Spaniard Pepe Massot has confirmed he will compete in the remainder of the 2012 Ginetta Junior Championship with Hillspeed, extending his original deal which only covered the first four races of the campaign.

After some remarkable performances in the opening two weekends, which included a superb maiden podium at Donington Park after a car-wrecking incident the day before, Massot was able to get the budget together to compete in the last two rounds at Thruxton. Now Massot has been able to secure the backing required to complete the full campaign, much to the delight of his team.

Hillspeed Team Principal Richard Ollerenshaw said: “Pepe has been truly outstanding since making his car racing debut with us at Brands Hatch. He ran as high as fourth place on his debut weekend in Ginetta Junior and picked up an incredible second place at Donington in round four. To achieve what he did there, after such a huge accident the day before, was unbelievable. All credit to Pepe and his family for the hard work they've done back home in Spain to find the budget to complete the season.”
