Four GP2 drivers have been handed grid penalties after qualifying in Valencia for impeding others, including the two drivers who were due to start Saturday's feature race from the second row.
Esteban Gutierrez and points leader Davide Valsecchi finished the session in third and fourth but they will now start from fifth and sixth respectively after being handed three-place grid penalties.
Giedo van der Garde and Max Chilton will inherit their slots on the second row behind polesitter James Calado and fellow rookie Felipe Nasr.
Monaco winner Johnny Cecotto was also handed a three-place penalty and will now start 17th after qualifying 15th.
Simon Trummer had qualified 17th and would have inherited 16th after Cecotto's penalty, but will now start alongside the Addax driver in 18th after a two-place penalty.
