Hey everyone…a lot has happened this last month.

I competed in a race for my friend Henry Surtees but, unfortunately, I only managed to complete three laps before another kart landed on me damaging my leg! I know the event went well and my thanks go to John Surtees and Buckmore Park for arranging this great event (and for letting my dad have a go…dangerous!)

I am a fighter though and the day after I was given a chance to test the SP300R Caterham so, even with my injury, I pushed on and had an amazing time in the Caterham around Brands Hatch. The car looks a bit daunting at first because it's a lot bigger than my Formula Renault single-seater but from lap one I felt confident in the car and knew I would really enjoy it.

I've got a new sticker added to my race car as well – I'd like to say a special thank you to the wonderful charity CLIC Sargent for children with cancer for allowing me to have their sticker on my car to promote awareness for the charity and the wonderful things they are doing. I really hope I can help them in any way possible.

Please take a look at their website and see if there is anything you can do to help also www.clicsargent.org.uk

As you may have heard, I had a massive crash in my Formula Renault at Thruxton Circuit. Unfortunately in qualifying someone had leaked antifreeze on the track in front of me, I couldn't control the car and hit the tyre wall backwards at approximately 120mph.

I am fine, which is more than I can say for the car (poor car!). I was rushed to hospital when all I could think was about getting out for the first race. I didn't get out of hospital 'till later that night though but I'm already fighting to get back out in my car again and come back stronger than before.

I would like to say a special thank you to my team Fortec Motorsports, my mechanic Jamie Russell, my driver coach Riki Christo and my sister Ellie for all the support and help they gave me and thanks for everyone's understanding for all the inconvenience the crash caused. A huge thank you too goes to my team-mate Seb Morris who kindly got out of his car whilst on track to come over and check I was ok.

I would also like to thank everyone for their kind messages and support…I can't wait for Croft!
