Added Bonus For APR Volkswagen Racing Cup Drivers With Prize Scirocco R-Cup Drive

1 Mins read

Participants of the APR Volkswagen Racing Cup have been given an extra incentive to win the championship in the shape of a prize drive in the final round of the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup at Hockenheim in Germany.

Sam Roach of Volkswagen Racing UK said: “We couldn't be more pleased and excited that our champion is going to be racing in this super-competitive series in front of a vast crowd on a Grand Prix circuit in Germany. It's a great honour for the APR Volkswagen Racing Cup and a superb opportunity for our champion.”

“We joined our German colleagues at Brands Hatch earlier this year for the DTM event, and I know that they were impressed by the standard of the Volkswagen Racing Cup cars and competitors,” added Roach. “They are very supportive of what we do in Britain and this is a great way they have chosen to express that support.

“It will make the closing rounds of the championship all the more exciting – there are several drivers who will have their eyes on the prize.”

Scirocco driver James Walker is currently leading the standings with six races remaining ahead of Golf GTI drivers Mike Neuhoff, Tom Wilson and Aaron Mason.
